A Season to Share

February 18th, 2008 |

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ.  I’m glad you’ve found your way here. God is so great!  He gives us more than we’ll ever know.  He continues to bless us even though we are so unworthy of anything.  And even though He is such a faithful provider we are still quick to deny Him daily.  Even though we have specific instruction to lift one another up and encourage each other daily, we make jokes out of insulting remarks and take sarcasm with a light heart.  My friends, this is the time to spend together basking in the love of God.  This is a season to share with each other the numerous ways God works in our lives. Allow me to share with you.  Read More »

Checking In

February 18th, 2008 |

I´m currently in Ecuador with my second family.  I´ve decided to write a snippet to tell everyone that we are all doing fine.  Derrick is quickly picking up Spanish words and phrases.  After discovering the meaning of yapa, Derrick quickly adopted this as his new favorite Spanish word.  A yapa, for those of you who don´t know, is a free gift that is given to someone who purchases something from a flea market shop.  You might expect to hear Derrick calling out, ¨Yapa! Yapa!¨next time he´s at wal-mart. My brother is making a lot of friends with his ability to acutally speak the language.  Joseph enjoys life in Ecuador, and despite thinking that he is not the best teacher, he is in fact quite proficient at explaining the enigma that is the English language. In short, we are all having a blast.  We´ve done so many random things that I will need more than this hour in a internet cafe to tell them all.  I love you all so much!  Thank you for your support as my friends and I are helping others in need!  Justin
